  17.    Installing The ViaPrint Icon:    
  18.  
  19.     How to install your program as an Icon with the 
  20.     Windows' Program Manager.
  21.  
  22.     1. First install the program in a DOS directory, 
  23.     outside of Windows.
  24.  
  25.     2. Start up Windows and open the PROGRAM MANAGER.
  26.  
  27.     3. Click once on the group in which you want the 
  28.     new ViaPrint Icon installed.
  29.  
  30.     4. Go up to the menu bar at the top of your screen 
  31.     and click on the word FILE.
  32.  
  33.     5. A menu drops down.  Click on NEW.
  34.  
  35.     6. You will see a window with two choices.  Select 
  36.     PROGRAM ITEM.  Then click on OKAY.
  37.  
  38.     7. Another window appears entitled PROGRAM ITEM
  39.     PROPERTIES.
  40.  
  41.     8. Click in the box labeled DESCRIPTION. Type 
  42.     "ViaPrint".
  43.  
  44.     9. Use the tab key or mouse and go to the box 
  45.     labeled COMMAND LINE.  Type the full name of the 
  46.     path to the directory where you have installed 
  47.     ViaPrint, and the name VIAPRINT.EXE. For example,
  48.     if the program is in a directory called VIAPRINT on the
  49.     C drive you would enter    C:\VIAPRINT\VIAPRINT.EXE in the 
  50.     box.

  52.     10. Use the TAB key to go to the box labeled WORKING
  53.     DIRECTORY.  Type the name of the directory in which 
  54.     you installed ViaPrint.  For example, if you 
  55.     installed the game in a directory called VIAPRINT, then 
  56.     type C:\VIAPRINT.

  58.     11. Now click on OKAY in the PROGRAM ITEM PROPERTIES
  59.     Window.
  60.  
  61.     You should now have the ViaPrint Icon installed 
  62.     in your PROGRAM MANAGER. Enjoy the program!

  65.    NOTE:
  66.  
  67.    An order form is provided under the file name "ORDER.TXT".
  68.    You can Open this file using Windows Notepad and print it, or
  69.    print one from the "Viable" Button in ViaPrint itself.

  71.    NOTE 2:
  72.     
  73.     Some printers apparently will not print .BMP pictures from
  74.     ViaPrint.  We are working to alleviate this situation - 
  75.     meanwhile you'll find ViaPrint useful without pictures!    
  76.     We suggest you use MetaFiles rather than .BMPs.

  78.    NOTE 3:
  79.    
  80.    It has come to my attention that certain SVGA video hardware
  81.    is non-compatible with the MicroSoft Visual Basic Environment and
  82.    causes problems every so often in 800 x 600 mode and more often in
  83.    1024 x 768 resolution.  Buttons will be misplaced etc.  At the 
  84.    moment there is one solution:
  85.         Open the Windows Setup icon and select CHANGE SYSTEM SETTINGS
  86.         from the OPTIONS menu.  Follow the prompts to change your
  87.         video mode to a 640 x 480 resolution driver.  The game will
  88.         now run fine.  When you're finished, return to Setup and
  89.         re-install your original driver.
